Sunday School

Woodlawn offers Sunday morning Bible Study opportunities for all ages. Our next study is the book of Ecclesiastes. In addition to Bible study, Sunday School classes provide a small group setting in which individuals can bond together deeply and serve the Lord together. Check out this map for a description of our Sunday School classes and where they are located on our church campus. Life Groups 

Life Groups are small, same-gender gatherings that convene regularly to foster accountability and mutual encouragement. A designated time, Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m., is allocated for Life Groups to assemble on the church premises, with childcare services available. Some groups opt to convene off-site during this time or at other points throughout the week. 

Each gathering is structured to include heartfelt prayer, discussions centered around shared Scripture readings (based on a common Bible study plan adhered to by all members during the week), accountability, and encouragement tailored toward personal evangelism. Moreover, Life Groups are actively encouraged to engage in occasional acts of service and mission work.

D-Groups 

A D-Group (Discipleship Group) is a gender-specific closed group of 3 to 5 believers, including a leader, who meet together weekly for the purpose of accelerated spiritual transformation. Whereas Life Groups tend to be a bit more casual and exist for the purposes of accountability and fellowship, a D-Group is a more rigorous avenue by which believers walk alongside each other to train themselves for godliness through various pursuits, such as Bible study and memorization, walking through books that practically apply the Scriptures (e.g., study of spiritual disciplines), prayer, and more. Each D-Group is intended to last a year-and-a-half to two years. At the completion of their time together, each member is expected to then lead his or her own D-group through the same process.
